3 months old!
HOLY COW. . .I am 3 months old!! Life is good at this age. Since grandma and grandpa Dean left, I have visited my mom's school and introduced myself to her friends, played with my nanny in the babyroom where I will be hanging out when my mom goes back to work, tested out a mommy and baby yoga class(I was very well behaved for the most part), had a playdate with my friends Phoebe and Sam and I'm learning to love my stroller now! Sometimes that is where I take my best morning nap now. I know my mom appreciates it because she gets to have her morning coffee which she tells me is the most important way to start her day! I'm excited to spend my Saturday night with Auntie Dara and attend my first baby shower with my mom. I'm also looking forward to seeing grandma and grandpa Rolig at the end of this week. I can't believe they're coming back already!!! So you can see, life is exciting.

A Letter to Grandma and Grandpa
Dear Grandma and Grandpa Dean,
Thank you so much for coming out to visit Mommy, Daddy and me out in California. It was so good to see you for the first time since the NICU. Mommy and Daddy said you can come out to visit us whenever you want. I have so many memories from this week, there's almost too many to count. Here are some:
- Grandpa playing "Here Comes Peter Cottontail" and "Rubber Ducky" for me on his banjo
- Sitting at the table with you during family meals
- Falling asleep in Grandma's arms
- Watching those funny faces Grandpa makes
- Grandma playing with Early Bird and reading books to me
- You babysitting me when Mommy and Daddy went out
- Riding in the Ergo around the block with Daddy and Grandpa
- Celebrating Daddy's 35th and my 11 week birthday with shish kabob and cupcakes
- Grandma and Grandpa feeding and rocking me before bedtime
I can't wait to see you guys this summer. Have a safe flight!
Love,
Lucas

Lucas' First Easter
Today is Easter Sunday. Lucas went with Mommy and Daddy over to where Grandma and Grandpa Dean were staying for a nice brunch. Grandpa serenaded Lucas with banjo-fueled renditions of "Here Comes Peter Cottontail" and a reimagined version of "Rubber Ducky." Mommy and Daddy even got to go around the house hunting for chocolate Easter eggs. Lucas even connected with relatives back East on the phone and via Skype. You should have seen the huge smile on his face when he heard Great Nana's voice!

The Hungry Caterpillar has emerged as Lucas' most favorite book. He loves when Mommy reads it to him and adds all of her funny commentary.
